ImagiLearn offers two services:

1:1 Personalised Learning (ages 5 - 11)

Group Discovery Sessions (ages 5-7)

What does ImagiLearn offer?

1:1 Personalised Learning Sessions - built from prior discussions with parents to ensure maximum impact.

ImagiLearn goes beyond traditional tutoring by balancing academic progress with creative thinking. I focus on building confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills, encouraging children to see mistakes as vital steps toward success. By putting each child at the centre, I provide the "gift of time" needed for them to lead their own thinking and discover their endless potential.

Group Discovery Sessions (Ages 5-7, KS1 Year 1&2, capped at 12 children per session)

These 45-minute sessions primarily use storytelling to spark curiosity around academic skills, life skills, and core values. Children cultivate critical soft skills - including empathy and collaborative problem-solving - by visualising and creating their own ideas. Designed to ignite a lasting passion for discovery, these sessions encourage children to keep questioning and exploring long after the call ends.

With 16 years of teaching experience across the UK and Singapore (including Dulwich College (Singapore) and Dover Court International School), I bring global expertise to every session. As a certified CBCI Instructor, I specialise in a Concept-Based approach that moves beyond facts to build deep, transferable understanding.

I am an expert in the National Curriculum for England, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), and Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction (CBCI). My practice is further enriched by my work as a Teacher Researcher for Nord Anglia's DELTA Project, in partnership with Project Zero at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. Through this research, I’ve championed the "Gift of Time" - the vital practice of giving children dedicated Thinking Time to process complex ideas before they act. By blending academic rigour with Visible Thinking Routines, I use strategic inquiry and questions to lead children toward their own "aha" moments. This process empowers them to become confident, independent learners who possess the soft skills - empathy, adaptability, and critical thinking - needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. When I look at my 6-year-old daughter, I don’t see a child who needs to be rushed into completing worksheets, tedious assessment tasks, or rigid academic drills. I see an endless well of curiosity.

Outside of my professional practice, some of my favourite moments are the simple ones spent sitting on the sofa with her, sharing a beautiful picture book. We turn the pages slowly, exploring the hidden logic and big ideas woven into the illustrations and the text. Whether we are exploring shadows, finding leaves outside or stepping into the shoes of a character in a story, I use the same inquiry tools with her that I bring to my sessions.

As both a mum and a teacher, I know firsthand the importance of protecting a child's love for learning. With busy days and appointments to make, we don't always give them the 'gift of time' to think - yet, having the time to slow down is exactly what young minds need to thrive.

The Magic of the Shared Story

A true passion of mine is reading aloud. I believe books are more than just stories; they are escapes, guides, and windows into worlds we can only imagine.

When I read, I don’t just recite the words - I bring them to life. By stepping into different characters and building suspense, I create an immersive experience where I make my thinking visible along the way. My goal is to use the text in two powerful ways:

  • As an Anchor for Connection: I use strategic inquiry to help children bridge the gap between the story and their own lives. By anchoring themes like bravery to their own environment, we form deep, lasting connections between their world and the text.

  • As a Spark for Creativity: Once the book is closed, the story becomes a springboard. I use the narrative to ignite original ideas, encouraging children to use what they’ve heard as fuel for their own creative thinking and problem-solving.

Why the ImagiLearn approach?

In a fast-paced digital world, children are often conditioned to give the quickest answer rather than the deepest one.

  • The ImagiLearn Difference: Guided by research from The DELTA Project, ImagiLearn honours the pace of true discovery by providing the "gift of time." Before the doing or making begins, sessions protect and prioritise the thinking phase, utilising strategic, inquiry-led questions to stretch a child's natural curiosity.

  • The Impact: By slowing down and engaging in dedicated Thinking Time, primary students build the cognitive patience to move past superficial, default responses. They learn how to question their own assumptions, look at problems from multiple angles, and uncover deeper, more creative, and more resilient solutions. This transforms thinking from a passive reaction into an active, deliberate skill.

Abstract concepts - whether in language, mathematics, or character building - can feel overwhelming or intimidating to a young learner when they remain trapped inside their heads. If a child cannot clearly visualise an idea, it is incredibly difficult for them to build upon it.

  • The ImagiLearn Difference: Utilising Visible Thinking routines, focuses on externalising the thought process through dual pathways: rich, curated examples and active demonstration. To help children visualise abstract ideas, sessions introduce carefully selected anchors - such as reading a powerful story to illustrate a concept like bravery, or physically modelling a problem-solving strategy. From there, children are guided to map out their own internal responses using sketches, diagrams or physical, multi-sensory objects.

  • The Impact: When children see a concept brought to life and then map out their own thoughts "out loud," the abstract becomes clear and tangible. This demystifies the learning process - helping them identify patterns, make real-world connections, and take ownership of their understanding.

Traditional tutoring often focuses on the destination rather than the journey, measuring a child's success solely by test scores or completed worksheets.

  • The ImagiLearn Difference: Led by a certified Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction (CBCI) trainer, creation at ImagiLearn can be a physical product - but it also goes far beyond that. From creating a connection, to sparking a new idea, to creating the internal space to practise kindness, creation is seen as an ongoing journey. Here, the act of creation is never-ending and sometimes wonderfully unmeasurable.

  • The Impact: Here, academic exploration goes hand in hand with the development of essential human qualities like resilience and perspective. Whether the creation is a redrafted piece of writing or a new way of approaching a challenge, children don't just memorise information - they create their own understanding of it.
